LCC JUNIOR WRAP: FUTURE OF THE CLUB ON SHOW // 🦁🏏

Ahead of this week’s junior cricket matches, we take a look into how our next generation of Lions went last weekend.

Our under 17 Bellerine renegades started their match against St. Peter’s/Lara by bowling on the weekend. The pick of the bowlers were Noah Pidgon (2/26), Harry Burchett (2/46) and James Tilders (2/54)

The under 15 Leopold Cropley side bowled first in their match against Marshall. The boys ended the day keeping Marshall 7-183. The best performers with the ball included Josh Unthank (2/9), Blake Montgomery (2/16) and Connor Blyth (1/25)

Our under 15 Leopold Barmby team took on South Barwon and batted first ending up with 6/147 with the top performers being Riley Hull (50*), Riley Blaney-Murphy (26) and Matthew Law (22). Leopold Barmby currently have South Barwon 1/3 with Connor Montgomery picking up the early wicket

The under 13 Leopold Horne unfortunately fell short in their game against Portarlington with Portarlington setting 139 for victory. Our best bowlers were Tom Kneeshaw (2/23), Hunter Vukobratovic (1/10) and Will Hannaford (1/17). In response with the bat the boys fell short by 29 runs ending up on 6/110. Pick of the batsmen included Oliver Boland (24*), Will Hannaford (16*) and Hunter Vukobratovic (13*).

The under 11’s both played on Friday night with Leopold Ridgeway playing against Geelong City and Leopold Mason taking on Newcomb & District. Both teams played incredibly well and have been improving on their skills.
