Ahead of our junior cricketers taking the field today, we check in with how they fared last Saturday…

The under 17 Bellarine Renegades unfortunately didn’t get the job done against St. Peter’s/Lara. Trying to chase down 288 the boys fell short getting bowled out for 63. The top performers were James Tilders (19) and Jack Baldi (14). Hopefully the boys bounce back on the weekend when they take on North Geelong.

The under 15 Leopold Cropley side fell 20 runs short in their chase of 183 against Marshall. Finishing with 8-163, the top performers with the bat included Owen Dunn (32), Harry Lindsay (30*) and Josh Lindsay (22). Leopold Cropley take on Barwon heads this week and will be looking to get the win.

Our under 15 Leopold Barmby lost their match to South Barwon. South Barwon ended up 8-196 in response to Leopold’s 147. The best bowlers on the day were Connor Montgomery (3/14), Riley Blaney-Murphy (2/19) and Connor McCashen (1/20). Leopold Barmby take on Thompson and will be hoping to take the points.

The under 13 Leopold Horne side took on Teesdale/Lethbridge in a one day match. Leopold bowled first, bowling Teesdale/Lethbridge for 90 with best performers with the ball being Jonathan Hurt (2/8), Oliver Boland (1/2) and Cruz Foster (1/9). In response with the bat our boys ended up with 4-140 with Oliver Boland (32*), Tom Kneeshaw (28*) and Hunter Vukobratovic (16) being the top performers with the bat on the day. Leopold Horne will be looking to continue their winning streak against Corio on the weekend.

Both our under 11 Leopold Ridgeway and Leopold Mason teams continued on with their seasons on Friday night against Geelong city Sharks and Geelong City White. All of the under 11’s are having a blast while continuing to get better every week.
